A quick look at the 2021 EPD database reveals that Intimadator is the #1 Huacaya male in MC, with a whopping score of 11.859. He comes by this honestly, as his dam is the #1 Huacaya female also with a value over 12!. Intimadator was also the #3 huacaya male in AFD, at -3.312, top 1% in 4 categories and just outside the blue flag in 2 others. EPDs certainly aren't everything, but I guess if I had my druthers, I would definitely prefer a great EPD table. Intimadator absolutely checks that box. He did fairly well in the show ring, winning a few banners, and standing toe to toe with virtually anyone he faced. Intimadator has density that is simply off the charts, plus the fact that his fleece is so high in curvature, his staple is ultimately shorter than ideal. Therefore, I am selecting his breedings accordingly. He has been bred with laid back females, with better than average staple length. If he can throw his insane density, in longer stapled offspring, this male will have an extremely positive effect on our herd, and will get many more females going forward. Intimadator is proudly co-owned with the farm that bred this fine male, Amber Autumn Alpacas, as well as Crescent Moon Ranch. This partnership made the decision to keep Intimadator closed, totally closed. By this I mean that if you buy a female from any of the 3 farms, that comes with a breeding, you cannot select Intimadator as your choice. You may, however, purchase his offspring, or females that are confirmed pregnant to him.
